Creative Director Jay Wilson, Compositor Brian Simmons, and Editor Andrew Swinney recently completed a project for TNTLA  sponsored by Exxon Mobil.  The piece was conceived and boarded by our Design team led by Wilson.  Then Compositor Brian Simmons added graphics to the piece and Editor Andrew Swinney completed the edit.

Senior Compositor Kevin Thomas and Audio Engineers Juan A. Baez III and JC Richardson just completed a collection of promos as well as a one minute presentation close to showcase the new look of CNN.com.  The close was screened at a press conference for CNN and highlighted some of the new images that can be seen on the news giants site.  The look of the spots  that were done at Soapbox Studios was created by Dwayne Terrell of CNN and produced by John Dance of CNN.

Soapbox Studios recently completed a series of pieces for Headline News campaign “One Thing Leads to Another.”  Soapbox’s Music division created an original cover of The Fixx’s hit “One Thing Leads to Another.”  Meanwhile Soapbox’s Director of Visual Effects, Larry Williams led his group to create 3D models that are used throughout the image pieces, and finally our Post Production unit edited, composited, lit, shaded and sweetened all the spots that are currently airing.

Soapbox Studios recently completed a project for Meredith Video Solutions based out of New York.  The project utilized Soapbox’s Production, Design, and Post-Production divisions.  Paxton Greene led the team of Soapbox specialists which were tasked with creating a presentation reel that would be used by Meredith to pitch content to various networks.

Creative Director Jay Wilson created boards based on a script written jointly by Meredith and Soapbox Studios.  From there Senior Editor Baco Bryles in San Francisco created a rough cut.  Meanwhile back in Atlanta Compositor Brian Simmons & Audio Engineer Tyler Davis added the final edits to the piece.  Last but surely not least Baco Bryles color corrected the spot.

Soapbox Studios just had the recent pleasure to work with Red Bull for a live event that took place in late September. The project entitled EmSee Battle took place at the Masquerade and featured MC contestants who had to rap about images projected onto screens . Soapbox utilized their Pre-Production division helmed by Executive Producer Chris Schute. The 2 camera shoot included Soapbox’s latest camera edition, the Sony EX-1. Soapbox editor Andrew Swinney was tasked with cutting the event that will be featured on Red Bull’s website.

Compositor Brian Simmons just completed a promo that will air on CNN. The promo which was produced by Greg Taylor features CNN.s Iphone App gives a look at how to use the various features. Currently CNN.s Iphone App is the most popular news App sold by Apple.

AmericanMusicAwardslogoSoapbox Studios recently completed a packaging stunt for the American Music Awards that will be featured on TNTLA. The graphics which included 2d as well as 3d animation was helmed by Creative Director Jay Wilson and Soapbox’s Director of Visual Effects Larry Williams. The pieces celebrate the spirit of the American Music Awards which will be celebrating their 36th year this November.

Soapbox is proud to welcome Larry Williams our new Director of Visual Effects. Larry brings over 10 years of 3d experience where he most recently worked at Cartoon Network’s Williams Street. Larry has also worked with Coke, DSW, Bell South, and numerous music videos.

Soapbox Studios would like to wish the Atlanta Falcons a great upcoming football season. Soapbox just completed the last of a series of spots that will be airing within the Georgia Dome during the regular football season. GO FALCONS!!
